Kat Men

Kat Men is a group from Philadelphia, United States, active since 1988, with members including Marc Nelson, Black Men United, Michael McCary, Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman. It is associated with contemporary R&B, new jack swing, pop, pop soul, quiet storm and R&B.

Overview

Kat Men is also the name of an American and British rockabilly band formed in 2007 by former Stray Cats drummer Slim Jim Phantom and guitarist Darrel Higham. The pair meet during a jam session at the Oneida Casino in Wisconsin and then tour Europe together. They record a debut studio album, Kat Men, with former Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke.

Later activity

The duo continues to tour until 2009, when Higham leaves to work with his wife Imelda May. Phantom later joins a reunited Stray Cats and also performs with The HeadCat. In 2011, Phantom and Higham reunite and record The Katmen Cometh... in 2012 for a March 2013 release. Imelda May bassist Al Gare joins the touring line-up in 2012.
