KAS:ST

KAS:ST is a techno duo from Paris and Barcelona, active since 2016. The pair works from Barcelona and runs the label Flyance Records. Their music aims for a sound they describe as balancing hypnotic rhythm with dark, hallucinatory emotion, and they focus on the melodic side of techno.

Early releases and label work

At the end of 2016, KAS:ST releases a major project on its own label, Dysphoria I Euphoria. This release appears as two double EPs, with four original tracks and four remixes on each. The remixes involve artists associated with a similar techno style, including Shlømo and AWB from Taapion, Blocaus resident Anetha, Detroit producer Luke Hess, English artists Setaoc Mass and Deepbass, Monocline label owner Re:Axis, and HVL, resident of Bassiani parties in Georgia.

Later discography

The duo’s catalogue expands with releases on Taapion Records, Concrete Music, Materia and ARTS. In September 2018, KAS:ST begins Road To Nowhere, a project set up to share one original track each month for a year while moving through different musical directions and landscapes.
