Kassidy

Kassidy are a Scottish folk rock band from Glasgow, Scotland. The group forms in 2009 and remains active. Its line-up consists of Barrie-James O'Neill on vocals and guitar, Hamish Fingland on vocals and guitar, Lewis Andrew on vocals and guitar, accordion and keyboard, and Chris Potter on vocals and guitar.

Formation and early work

The band members meet through friends' bands and chance encounters in pubs. Kassidy begins writing and recording in a shared house, which they later turn into a private studio. Their early sound is described as alternative folk rock, with influences that place them within indie, indie rock, folk and indie folk.

Releases

In 2010, Kassidy release three EPs collected as the Rubbergum EPs. Their debut album, Hope St., follows in 2011 and includes several tracks that also appear on the earlier EP series. The band’s second album, One Man Army, appears in 2012. In 2013, they also release the mini-album People Like Me on iTunes.

Live activity

Kassidy tour as support for Lana Del Rey during the European leg of her Paradise tour in April and May 2013.
