Karl Ficarotta

Karl Ficarotta is a singer-songwriter from Taunton. He begins performing at 16, after singing to classmates and realising that he can sing. He then learns guitar so that he can accompany himself and work towards forming a band.

Early bands and training

He plays in a couple of school bands and performs to school audiences before leaving school friends to study music performance at Bridgwater College. There he meets a drummer and joins a band called Final Evolution.

Final Evolution and solo work

Ficarotta spends four years with Final Evolution, playing numerous gigs and recording two demos. After the band decides that he should leave, he continues performing around the South West as a solo act, singing and accompanying himself on guitar.

Musical influences

His stated influences include Staind, The Fray and Theory of a Deadman.
