Kanji Kinetic is a heavy bass music producer from London and Bristol in the UK. He works across dubstep, speed garage, bassline house, rave and bassline, and his early releases combine bassline, techno, dubstep and chiptune influences.

Career

Kanji Kinetic’s first major release appears on Rag & Bone Records in 2008. That record attracts attention from Mary Anne Hobbs and Drop The Lime, helped by its energetic blend of styles. He continues to develop his sound through a wide range of releases and remixes.

One of his best-known remixes is a version of 16bit’s dubstep track “Chainsaw Calligraphy”, which brings more listeners to the mutant bass style. He also experiments with different tempos and genres, especially drumstep, on the 2010 EP New Era.

Mutant Bass Records

In early 2011, Kanji Kinetic starts the Mutant Bass Records netlabel. The label issues free monthly releases from him and from other heavy bass producers.

Live work

He remains in demand for live performances and plays shows around the world.
