Kalypso

Kalypso is a UK metalcore and deathcore act that forms in 2008 and performs a German-language blend of metal and hardcore music. The band’s sound also sits within melodic deathcore and death metal. Although its repertoire is in German, the act is based in the United Kingdom.

Releases

Kalypso releases its debut album, Nyktophobie, in 2011 after a period of songwriting. The record is followed in early 2012 by the EP Neue Chancen. The band later issues another EP, Gläserne Augen, through Acuity Music for digital release and Rock Range Records in physical form.

Videos and live activity

The band releases a video for Bäume wachsen nur auf starken Herzen, which gains more than 35,000 views on YouTube within a year. Kalypso tours widely in Germany and performs alongside acts including Adept, Bring Me The Horizon, and We Butter The Bread With Butter.
