Kaiju

Kaiju is a British dubstep duo associated with deep dubstep and 140bpm production. They win the 2013 DSF award for Best New Producers and build a reputation for “made-for-system” music within the UK dubstep scene.

Dubstep duo

The duo releases material on Osiris Music, Lioncharge and Ruffcut, and later signs exclusively to DEEP MEDi MUSIK. Their work receives support from Mary Anne Hobbs, Mala, Vivek, Youngsta, J:Kenzo, N-Type, Biome, Distance and Truth. The pair are described as having made a significant impact on the scene in a short time.

The name Kaiju is also used by a metal band, a London-based electronic DJ and a nerdcore hip-hop artist.

Metal band

The metal group forms around a monster-movie concept. Nev contacts Elektrokutioner, then later works with Joel from Monument of Bones. The band records the demo The Gods are Angry, follows it with the full-length Total Monster Armageddon, and later prepares the EP Unwilling Sacrifices. The project also plans splits with other bands, and Nev runs Shepherd of Rot Records.

London DJ

The London-based Kaiju is an Ableton DJ who plays dubstep, drum and bass, electro and deep house.
