Kadri Voorand is an Estonian jazz singer and composer from Haljala, Estonia. She studies at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and continues her studies at the Royal Music Academy of Stockholm.

Background

Voorand begins classical piano studies in early childhood and also plays folk violin. She sings in her mother’s folk ensemble, alongside her work as a jazz vocalist.

Career

She gains recognition for improvisational vocal skills and original compositions, and receives several prizes in competitions in Estonia and abroad. In 2008, she receives the Young Jazztalent award in Estonia.
