K90 is the trance project of Mark Doggett, an English producer, DJ and live performer. He begins making music in a makeshift kitchen studio in 1991, originally as one of the two founder members of KA90 before the project develops into K90. His work sits in trance and hard trance, and he builds a profile through production, releases, remixes and club performances.
Career and releases
K90 becomes known for a catalogue that includes singles, remixes and full-length releases. His best-known track is Red Snapper, which is credited with becoming a clubland phenomenon and is described as one of the best-known hard dance tracks of its kind. He also releases four artist albums: K90, Urban Anthems, The Inner Limits and Destinations. In addition, he issues two DJ compilations, Recoverworld 2 - Sub Culture and Wildchild.
Performances
He is noted for energetic DJ sets and, especially, live performances. K90 plays major dance events including Godskitchen - Global Gathering, Creamfields, SW4 and the Tidy Weekender series in the UK, as well as Dance Valley and Q-Base International Dance Festival in the Netherlands, Advent*jah in Australia, The Gallery in South Africa and Checkpoint Charlie in New Zealand. He also holds regular headline slots at UK club nights such as Polysexual, Frantic, Slinky, Wildchild and Goodgreef.
Record labels
Doggett works for a long period with Recover Records before launching his own label, Dataless Recordings, in 2004. The label becomes part of his wider production activity and adds to the body of work associated with the K90 name.
