Just Panic

Just Panic is a punk group from Southport. The current three-piece line-up forms in the summer of 2005 and, since then, the band spends its time writing, rehearsing and performing widely. Its music is described as melodic punk rock, with songs that also draw on skate punk and reggae/dub influences.

Style and themes

The band plays intense live shows and builds a following in the Liverpool area. Its material includes fast, skate punk-influenced songs such as “So Long, Forever” and more reggae/dub-led pieces such as “We Apologise For Any Inconvenience”. The lyrics address political and social issues, including opposition to war in “Crime” and themes of hope in adversity in “The Ballad Of...”.

Recordings and activity

Just Panic releases its debut EP, Stand Up Straight in the Line of Fire, on New Home Records. The group also completes two UK headline tours and continues to develop a catalogue of new material. Its live reputation grows through frequent gigging and support from fans and peers.
