Junkie Kut

Junkie Kut is a UK-based electronic crossover act that combines hardcore punk rock with speedcore techno and performs vocals, guitar and electronic drums live. The project sits across speedcore, cybergrind, hardcore and electronic music, and is associated with an aggressive, high-intensity style that draws on digital hardcore and punk influences.

Early releases and recordings

Junkie Kut begins releasing music in 2009 with the debut EP The Manifesto Of The Electronic Zombie Cyborg Mafia. That release is followed by Death To The Red Grave Army, issued as a free download on Splitterblast Records, a Czech speedcore label. Later in the same period, the third EP appears through Splatterkore Reck-ords as a split release with American cyberpunk artist VWT.

In late 2010, Junkie Kut releases the full-length album Terror, Rage & Liberty on D-Trash Records in Canada. After that, the project issues further tracks on a range of labels and networks.

Style and themes

The project presents itself around a mix of extreme electronic and hardcore sounds, with references to rebellion, resistance and confrontation. Its material also frames a wider fictional narrative involving the Electronic Zombie Cyborg Mafia, the Red Grave Army and the Planetary Peace Protocol, using these ideas as part of its release identity and broader concept.
