Juffage is the project of Jeff T. Smith, a sound artist and multi-instrumentalist born in 1984 and based in Leeds, with links to Chicago, Illinois. His music sits in the indie and experimental area, and he builds a reputation through extensive touring across the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe, as well as through live performances described by audiences and press as physically intense and sonically forceful.

Juffage’s debut album, Semicircle, draws attention from a range of UK music press outlets and receives airplay on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6 Music. Smith also works with recording as a central part of the project, and spends time in Chicago studios including Electrical Audio, where he works with Steve Albini, and Engine Studios, where he works with Brian Deck.

Smith collaborates with a number of other musicians, including Katie Harkin, Tom Evans of Vessels, and Jenna Isherwood of Invisible Cities. He also shares stages with Deerhoof, Balmorhea, Dosh, Mount Eerie, Cloud Nothings, Xiu Xiu, Portico Quartet, Three Trapped Tigers and Nat Baldwin of Dirty Projectors, and appears at festivals including ArcTanGent, Beacons, Tramlines, In The Woods, Rewire, Carefully Planned, Long Division and Fell Foot Sound.
