jsn

jsn is a Montreal-based producer known for making sample-driven electronic music. He begins experimenting with music at the age of four, first using a toy organ, and goes on to develop a style built around micro-sampling, drum machines, sequencers, guitars and stomp boxes. His name is pronounced “j-s-n” when said quickly.

In 2005, jsn wins the Creative Commons and Wired Magazine’s Fine Art of Sampling contest, which earns him a place on The Wired CD: Ripped. Mixed. Sampled. Mashed. Shared. One of his tracks, “Counterfeit Funk (The Open Source Conspiracy),” also debuts in South Beach Miami during the M3 Music Summit.
