Jpnsgrls

Jpnsgrls is a Vancouver, Canada-based group active from 2010 to the present. The band is pronounced “Japanese Girls” and later becomes known as Hotel Mira. Its line-up consists of Charlie Kerr, Chris McClelland, Graham Serl and Colton Lauro.

Releases and development

The group’s debut recording is The Sharkweek EP, which appears on Light Organ Records in 2013. After that release, Jpnsgrls work with producer Steve Bays, known for his work with Hot Hot Heat and Mounties, at Greenhouse studios on follow-up material. That work develops into the band’s 2014 album Circulation.

Circulation gives the band wider recognition, including top-25 commercial radio charting. The group also tours in Canada and internationally.

Live activity and festivals

The band appears at a number of major events and festivals, including NXNE, SXSW, CMJ, The Great Escape, Pemberton Music Festival and Liverpool Sound City.
