Josh T. Pearson

Josh T. Pearson is an American musician from Texas. He is known for forming the band Lift to Experience in 1996. The group is a rock act and later releases one double album, The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads, in 2001 before splitting up soon after.

Lift to Experience

Lift to Experience is the best-known part of Pearson’s career. After the band ends, Pearson no longer performs its songs live. His solo work follows from that period.

Solo work and recordings

As a solo artist, Pearson tours in both headlining and support slots. In January 2010 he records an album of acoustic ballads in Berlin. While there, he also records two songs with pianist Dustin O’Halloran: “Sweetheart I Ain’t Your Christ” and “Country Dumb”.

Live release

In September 2011, a limited-edition bootleg called The King Is Dead is released. It contains a live recording made at London’s Union Chapel and is issued in a run of 1,000 copies to coincide with his UK summer festival appearances.
