Jordy Dazz

Jordy Dazz is a DJ and producer from Tilburg in the Netherlands, working in electronic dance music with a sound associated with trance, house and big room styles. He starts DJing at the age of 15 and develops his career through a mix of club performance, record-shop experience and production work.

Background

He leaves college early and takes a job in one of the few independent vinyl record shops in Holland, where he studies electronic music day to day and learns by selecting and recommending records. That role brings him into contact with established DJs and producers including Sander van Doorn, Fedde Le Grand and Marco V.

Before focusing fully on production and touring, he also begins as a drummer and has a long-standing interest in music. He builds an early reputation as a DJ over more than a decade behind the decks.

DJ work and performances

Jordy Dazz plays at venues and events including Privilege Ibiza and Heineken Music Hall in Holland, and performs alongside Tiësto. His work also takes him to nightspots across Europe and Canada.

Releases and labels

As a producer, he is associated with releases on Revealed Recordings, the label run by Hardwell, and Hysteria, the label linked with Bingo Players. His tracks include “OMG”, “Fuego”, “Claymore” and “Drum Fail”. “Fuego” is a collaboration with DANNIC, while “Drum Fail” is made with Mightyfools. “Claymore” reaches the Beatport top 10.

Style and output

His production style combines rhythmic electro and peak-time house. He also presents the Dope and Dirty podcast series, which forms part of his wider work as a selector and producer.

Support and recognition

He is championed by Tiësto and Hardwell, and his rise is closely tied to support from major figures in Dutch electronic dance music.
