Jordana LeSesne

Jordana is a drum and bass producer, DJ and musician from Pittsburgh, United States. She first comes to prominence in the mid-1990s as one of the early respected producers in American drum and bass. She is also known formerly as 1.8.7, and in 2001 to 2003 she uses the name Lady J while working as a regular DJ on FLEX FM in London.

Career

As a producer and DJ, Jordana tours internationally and plays alongside leading figures in jungle and drum and bass. She appears as a headliner on the large North American Drum & Bass excursion known as The Kung Fu Knowledge Tour. Her work is associated with the drum and bass scene, and she is identified as a producer of that genre.

Collaborations and associations

Jordana works with a range of artists, including Mike Joyce of The Smiths, Deborah Harry and Blondie, Lady Sovereign, MC Kinky from London/ffrr, Yellownote, and Soulslinger and TC Izlam from Liquid Sky Records. She is also related to the late Tupac Shakur.
