Jordan Hill is a United States singer who is associated with pop, soul and house music. In 1994, she signs to producer David Foster’s label 143 Records, a division of Warner Music Group.

Recording career

Hill’s first single, “Remember Me This Way”, is produced by David Foster and becomes the theme song to the film Casper. It reaches number 80 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her self-titled debut album follows in 1996, with production from David Foster, Greg Charley, Rhett Lawrence, Jeff Pescetto, SoulShock & Karlin and Mario Winans.

The album includes versions of songs by Cheryl Lynn, Oleta Adams and Lisa Stansfield. “For the Love of You”, produced by David Foster and co-produced by Mario Winans, is issued as the lead single and appears on the Billboard Hot 100 and R&B/Hip-Hop charts. A Tony Moran remix of the track gives Hill her only top 10 entry on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. The later singles “How Many Times”, a song later covered by Aretha Franklin, and “Too Much Heaven”, produced by Barry Gibb with backup vocals from Hill, do not chart.

After weak sales of the album, 143 Records drops her.

Collaborations

Hill continues to work with other artists, including The Bee Gees and Jim Brickman. She appears as a featured vocalist with Billy Porter on Brickman’s 1999 Adult Contemporary top 10 hit “Destiny”.
