Jon Ronson is a journalist, author and filmmaker from Cardiff, United Kingdom. Born in 1967, he works across books, newspaper columns, radio and documentary film.

Writing

Ronson writes books that include Them: Adventures With Extremists and The Men Who Stare At Goats, both of which become international bestsellers. He also publishes two collections of his features and essays: Out Of The Ordinary: True Tales of Everyday Craziness and What I Do: More True Tales of Everyday Craziness.

He writes the columns Human Zoo and Out of the Ordinary for The Guardian, where he continues to contribute features.

Broadcasting and film

Ronson presents the BBC Radio 4 series Jon Ronson On..., which receives two Sony nominations. For Channel 4, he makes a number of documentaries, including the five-part series The Secret Rulers of the World and Tottenham Ayatollah, which wins multiple awards.

His more recent documentary work includes Reverend Death for Channel 4 and Robbie Williams and Jon Ronson Journey to the Other Side for Radio 4.

Other work

In the United States, Ronson contributes to Public Radio International's This American Life. He also works on further books and documentaries, including Citizen Kubrick, a film about Stanley Kubrick's boxes.
