John Johanna

John Johanna is a folk singer-songwriter from Norfolk. He is a singer and multi-instrumentalist who works at home in rural Norfolk using cassette and reel-to-reel tape. His music combines folk with psychedelic elements, oriental tonalities and primal gospel blues, and is described as forming a varied but connected body of devotional music.

His songs are informed by the mystical cosmology of the Eastern Orthodox Church, which gives his work a distinct spiritual focus.
