John Dahlbäck

John Dahlbäck is a Swedish electronic music producer and DJ from Stockholm, born in 1985. He moves to a small village outside Stockholm at an early age and grows up in a family where both parents are musicians, with many other relatives also involved in music.

He first comes into contact with house music through his older cousin Jesper Dahlbäck, after which he begins producing. His first track is released on Pawel Kobak’s Route 33 label, and his first 12-inch record appears on the Chicago-based Deep4life label.

Dahlbäck releases music on labels including Dessous Recordings, Morris Audio, Tangent Beats and Affected Music, and is also associated with Shva Muzik, Immigrant and Deeplay. He and Jesper Dahlbäck launch Dahlbäck Records together. Other labels linked to his work include Jackmoves and Pickadoll Records.

He is also associated with several project names, including Mark & John, Beckster, Hugg & Pepp, Dahlbäck & Dahlbäck, Myback and Jovicii. His music is described across house, electro house, EDM and related electronic styles.
