John Brown

John Brown is the performance name of Greg Kaysen, an American hip-hop and rap artist associated with the Ghetto Revival brand. He is born in San Francisco and grows up in Berkeley, California before moving with his family to Davis, California at the age of 14. He later moves to Brooklyn, New York, where he works on new material and continues to promote Ghetto Revival.

Career

Brown is known for appearing on VH1’s reality series egotrip’s the (white) rapper show, where he finishes second among ten contestants competing for a $100,000 prize. He presents himself as the “King of the ’Burbs” and performs hip-hop/rap under the John Brown name.
