Joe Pug

Joe Pug is an American singer-songwriter from Greenbelt, in the United States, who is associated with americana, folk and folk rock, as well as folk, singer-songwriter, alt-country and country. He records on Nation of Heat Records and is known under his birth name, Joe Pugliese.

Early releases and albums

Pug releases two EPs, Nation of Heat and In the Meantime. In the Meantime is made available for free on his website. He then releases several full-length albums: Messenger, The Great Despiser, Windfall and The Flood in Color.

Career

He tours extensively from 2008 onwards and opens for artists including alt-country pioneer Steve Earle, Josh Ritter and M. Ward. His first full-length album, Messenger, appears in 2010. He also performs on the main stage at the Cambridge Folk Festival in the United Kingdom in 2010.

Later work

The Great Despiser follows in 2012, Windfall in 2015 and The Flood in Color in 2019.
