Joe Goddard is a British electronic musician, songwriter and DJ from London, best known as a member of Hot Chip. He also uses the alias Ulysses.

Career

In Hot Chip, Goddard works as a vocalist, percussionist and synth player. The group combines live instrumentation and electronic production, and their music attracts listeners from both rock and dance backgrounds. Across the band’s first three albums, Goddard helps shape a sound that mixes electronics with a light, playful pop sensibility.

Hot Chip’s work is closely tied to dance music. The band contributes to the Bugged Out! and DJ Kicks series, records a large number of remixes, and maintains an active DJ schedule. Goddard also performs as a DJ, both on his own and with other members of Hot Chip.
