Joe Echo is a Northern Irish musician associated with progressive trance, hard rock and soundtrack work. He writes and performs as a solo artist and has also worked as a songwriter with other artists.

Career

He co-writes Madonna’s single Celebration with producer Ian Green, dance artist Paul Oakenfold and Madonna herself. His track On All My Sundays also appears on Oakenfold’s remix album Perfecto Vegas, which reaches the top of the US iTunes Dance chart.

Releases and reception

His single The Heart That Knows Desire is a dance-driven release. It is described by Hot Press as “a perfect nugget of experimental pop” and as coming from “one of the most interesting new voices” of the year. The song is offered as a free download from his website.

Live performance

Joe Echo performs at a series of summer festivals, including Oxegen, Indiependence, Cois Fharraige and Glasgowbury, where he plays to full tents. He also plays a sold-out hometown show at Auntie Annies in Belfast.
