Jockstrap

Jockstrap is a London-based UK electronic duo formed by Georgia Ellery and Taylor Skye. Active since 2017, the group works across art pop, glitch pop and related alternative styles, with the broader genre profile also including noise rock and pop rock.

Releases

The duo’s debut mini-album, Love is the Key to the City, appears in 2018. They follow it with a remix release, Lost My Key In The Club, in 2019.

Members

Georgia Ellery and Taylor Skye make up the group. Ellery also plays violin in Black Country, New Road.

Collaborations and related work

Ellery appears in the Cornish film BAIT, which wins a BIFA award and Outstanding Debut at the BAFTAs, and she performs the film’s score live with Cornish-Welsh artist Gwenno at the BFI. She also collaborates with Underworld on their experimental project DRIFT.

Skye develops a solo project and remixes the full album by Arizona group Injury Reserve, who Jockstrap tour with in the UK. Both Ellery and Skye write and perform on Dean Blunt’s 2018 mixtape Soul On Fire, which also features A$AP Rocky and Mica Levi.

Live work

Jockstrap are invited to collaborate and perform at Africa Express’ sold-out one-off show in a circus tent in Walthamstow.
