Joachim Cooder is an American drummer, percussionist and keyboardist from Santa Monica, United States. Born in 1978, he is also known as Joachim Herbert Cooder.

He is widely associated with his collaborations with his father, Ry Cooder, and also establishes a solo recording career. He releases his solo debut album, Love on a Real Train, in 2012, followed by two further solo albums.

His work sits within folk, blues and americana contexts. He is also associated with Buena Vista Social Club, Hello Stranger, RadioBemba and Vagenius, and with the label Zegema Beach Music.
