Jo Hook is a group from New Jersey, United States, active between 1968 and 1985 and also known as Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show. The line-up includes Jay David, John “Rod” Smarr, Mo Thaxton, Keith Austin, George Cummings, Rik Elswit, Billy Francis, Jance Garfat, Bob Henke, Ray Sawyer, John Wolters and Dennis Locorriere.

The group works across country rock, pop, rock and soft rock. Its name is associated with a catalogue of music from the late 1960s through the mid-1980s, with members contributing to its changing line-up over that period.
