JMSN

JMSN is the stage name of Christian Berishaj, an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, engineer, mixer, videographer and designer. He is born in Detroit and is based in Los Angeles. He starts recording his own music at the age of 12, and by 18 he has already worked through several bands and projects.

Early projects

Before using the JMSN name, Berishaj records an album as Love Arcade, writing and performing every sound himself. The project signs to Atlantic Records, and a self-titled album appears in 2006 with Berishaj as the sole performer. A touring band is later assembled, but none of the members play on the recordings, and the group breaks up after three years. He then moves to Los Angeles and works as Christian TV, licensing songs for films and television and signing with Universal Motown Records, before that label folds.

JMSN

After reworking his sound, Berishaj adopts the JMSN name and moves towards R&B-focused material, away from the pop leanings of earlier projects. He self-releases his debut album, †Priscilla†, in 2012. The following year he releases the Pllaje EP and tours extensively. In 2014 he works on The Blue Album, which is delayed before it is eventually issued later that year.
