Jinder
Jinder is a UK singer-songwriter, born in 1981, and formerly the frontman of the Sony BMG act The Mercurymen. He releases as a solo artist and has five critically acclaimed albums from since 2002.
Career
Based in the United Kingdom, Jinder tours extensively and describes himself as an “international road dog”, with more than 1,200 live shows across the UK, Europe and the US. He is a prolific songwriter both for his own recordings and for other artists.
Collaborations and songwriting
He writes for, with, and records with a wide range of artists, including Ricky Ross of Deacon Blue, Hank Marvin of The Shadows, Henry Priestman of The Christians, Yachts and It’s Immaterial, Jason Donovan, Elysium III, and Graham Gouldman of 10cc. His significant influences include Townes Van Zandt, John Martyn, Robert Wyatt and The Blue Nile.
Recordings
Jinder’s releases include the album Nine Cents From Benelux, which appears in his catalogue alongside his earlier solo work.
