Jim Cooper is a bass player from the United States whose work spans country and jazz as well as related hybrid styles. He performs with a wide range of groups, including Wolverhampton-based Pink Floyd tribute act Darkside, electro-acoustic group Remnants, the jam bands Divine Brothers and Feeky Chuckers, and the Unit 4 Reggae band of the mighty ’Reans.

He also works with producer Fantastic Mr. Fox, U.S. hip hop trio elevatedSOUL, progressive jazz group Fast Idiots, acoustic duo The Buzz, and singer-songwriter Aaron Yorke. In addition, he works with the Archer-Marriott blues project and is a founding member of Paper Tiger, described as a pioneering Space Jazz Afro Funk ensemble.
