Jersey Budd
Jersey Budd is a British singer-songwriter from Leicester, United Kingdom, born in 1985. He teaches himself guitar as a teenager, influenced first by his father’s taste in Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Lou Reed, Cat Stevens and Paul Weller, and later by Oasis.
He builds a body of songs described as classically crafted, with a style shaped by his peers but still recognisably his own. His voice and melodic writing lead to early attention after only a small number of gigs. He also supports Kasabian, The Enemy, The Rifles and Hard Fi.
He records his debut album in Leicester, and his first single sells out immediately. A second single follows in early 2008.
