Jerry Joseph
Jerry Joseph is a songwriter and guitarist who performs both as a solo artist and with bands. He is known for a gravelly vocal style and for writing lyrics that are introspective and carefully worked. His music begins with reggae-tinged rock, later moving toward straightforward rock, while his acoustic work is described as folk.
Career
Joseph plays live and has toured extensively for much of his career. He has been performing since childhood. From the mid-1980s to 1993 he leads the band Little Women, and he also works in several short-lived groups during that period. From 1995 onwards he leads The Jackmormons, and from 2001 onwards he leads Stockholm Syndrome. Alongside recordings with these bands, he releases several solo albums and joint projects with bandmates.
Style and output
His work spans roots and Americana as well as rock, with the acoustic material leaning toward folk. He is noted for being a prolific songwriter and an accomplished guitarist.
