Jason Ringenberg is an American musician, singer-songwriter and guitarist from Kewanee, Illinois. He is the lead singer of Jason & the Scorchers.

Ringenberg is born in 1958 and studies at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he plays in rock, alternative rock and country bands. In 1981 he moves to Nashville, Tennessee, and forms Jason & the Scorchers soon afterwards.

Solo work

He releases a number of solo albums, including Empire Builders, and his solo work includes the album Stand Tall, which he writes while serving as Artist in Residence at Sequoia National Park.
