Jason Herd

Jason Herd is a house music producer, DJ and mix engineer from Manchester, United Kingdom. He works in house and electronic dance music, moving between funky vocal house and heavier dirty and electro house, often adding acappellas and effects to his sets.

Herd & Fitz

He works with Jon Fitz under the name Herd & Fitz. The pair mix the Next Subliminal Sunset Sessions album and produce releases on Subliminal. Their track I Just Can’t Get Enough receives strong support on Radio 1 and becomes their biggest track that summer. Herd & Fitz also reach the final six nominees for the House Music Awards in 2005, alongside artists including Steve Angello, Soul Avengerz and Sebastian Ingrosso.

DJ work and clubs

Herd performs alongside Erick Morillo at Subliminal Sessions events worldwide, including Pacha in Ibiza and Creamfields in the UK. His other appearances include Ministry of Sound, Space Ibiza, Redlight Paris, Dreamers Marbella, Triple Six Bali, Dolce & Gabbana fashion parties at the Cannes Film Festival, Milan Fashion Week, and a tour of Australia and Bali.

Releases and label work

He releases I Just Can’t Get Enough as his third release on Subliminal, and the track reaches number 11 in the UK commercial Christmas chart. Herd also owns and runs JFunk Recordings, which releases 18 funky and dirty house tracks. He has high-profile mixes for Ministry of Sound, Data, Mercury and East West.

Remixes and recognition

Herd & Fitz remix Bodyrockers’ I Like the Way, and that remix receives a second release with the follow-up. Herd also gains notable support from Pete Tong on Radio 1.
