Jasad

Jasad are a brutal death metal band from Bandung, Indonesia, active since 1990. They play an Indonesian form of brutal death metal with a strong US-style influence, particularly drawing on Californian death metal traits such as blast-driven technicality and groove elements.

Line-up and style

Since 2000, the band consists of Ferly on guitars, Dani on drums, Joel on bass and Man on vocals. Their sound is associated with brutal death metal, and they are also described through terms such as death metal, slamming brutal death and US-way brutal death metal.

Releases and influences

Jasad have released three demos and two full-length albums, Witness of Perfect Torture and Annihilate the Enemy. Their stated influences include Suffocation, Internal Bleeding and Devourment. A third full-length, Rebirth ov Jatisunda, is also mentioned as part of their recorded catalogue.
