Jansons

Jansons is a UK house and tech house producer and DJ who gains prominence on the underground dance scene through his production work and club releases. He begins by engineering for artists releasing on leading labels, which builds a reputation for production skill before he develops a solo identity of his own.

Releases and collaborations

His first release as a developing artist is an EP on Steve Lawler’s VIVa MUSiC label. He then issues a remix for Nikola Gala that receives chart support and is played by Butch, Carl Cox and Hector Couto. That track also appears in the Jamie Jones and Nathan Barato Essential Mix recorded at Paradise at DC10.

Jansons later collaborates with Richy Ahmed on the first release for Ahmed’s Four Thirty Two label. He also appears as a featured artist on Pete Tong’s “New Names for 2017” show on BBC Radio 1, and records a two-hour live mix for Rinse FM.

Further releases include a three-track EP on Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep In Sound label, a release on Matt Tolfrey’s Leftroom Records that becomes the label’s most popular track on Beatport, and a remix for Gorge on 8bit. He also works again with Ahmed under the alias Lovehertz for a collaboration with Senzala, and later releases the Mode EP on Four Thirty Two, which draws support from artists including Eats Everything, Joris Voorn, Green Velvet, Andrea Oliva and Anja Schneider.

Performances and ongoing work

Notable appearances include a Room 1 debut at Fabric in London and a Kaluki event at The Warehouse Project in Manchester.
