James Ruskin

James Ruskin is a British techno producer and DJ from London, United Kingdom. Born in 1972, he begins as a DJ in 1991 after developing an interest in hip-hop, electro and the emerging Detroit techno scene. He starts producing with studio partner Richard Polson in 1994.

In 1996, he and Polson found Blueprint, a label that becomes closely associated with his work. As Blueprint develops, Ruskin issues his first solo releases and also appears as a remixer and co-producer on other projects.

He is associated with Outline, O/V/R and The Fear Ratio, and his label activity includes Blueprint, Coda Records and Jealous God. His work sits within techno, including minimal techno and minimal electronic styles.
