James Rand

James Rand is a London-based mixing engineer and producer. He first secures a residency at EVOL in March 2007, where he plays sets between live acts including Metronomy, Late Of The Pier and Mystery Jets, and also opens for Vitalic, Duke Dumont and Joakim.

In June 2008, he makes his debut at the Chibuku Shake Shake club night, supporting Boys Noize, and he also wins Cream’s DJ competition, which earns him a slot at Creamfields. He is later invited back to support Cassette Jam, The Whip and Justice, and goes on to work more closely with EVOL, playing with 2 Many DJs and The Prodigy.
