James Fagan (born 1972) is a folk musician from Sydney, Australia. He is a singer and multi-instrumentalist specialising in the Irish bouzouki. His initial musical experiences were as a member of his family's band The Fagans. Latterly, he performs in the duo Nancy Kerr & James Fagan and in the trio Kerr Fagan Harbron.
Fagan was born in Australia to a British father and Australian mother, Bob and Margaret Fagan, both of whom were imbued in the folk culture of Australia. His family's band The Fagans have toured the Australian folk scene since the early 1980s.
Fagan is best known for his work with Nancy Kerr (as Nancy Kerr & James Fagan) whom he married in 2007, and with whom he won BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 'Best Duo' in both 2003 and 2011. In 2008 the duo were joined by concertina player Robert Harbron to form the trio Kerr Fagan Harbron, recording and touring the album "Station House".
