James Ellis Ford is an English record producer, songwriter, drummer and composer from Leek, Staffordshire, United Kingdom. He is formerly known as James Ford. He is a member of Simian Mobile Disco and has also been part of Simian, Homelife, Toolshed and FRQNCY LDN.

Ford is known for his production and engineering work with a wide range of artists, including Arctic Monkeys, Foals, Florence and the Machine, Depeche Mode, Haim, Gorillaz, Klaxons, Jessie Ware, Kylie Minogue and the Pet Shop Boys. He is also associated with The Last Shadow Puppets as a band member.

Using his full name, he releases solo material as James Ellis Ford. His solo debut under that name is The Hum, issued on Warp Records, and it is preceded by the single “I Never Wanted Anything”.
