Jai
Jai is the recording name used by Jason Rowe, a British pop and soul singer from Yeovil, England. He moves to London in the mid-1990s and works with producer Joel Bogen. He later lives in Berlin, Germany.
Early recording career
Under the name Jai, he releases the single "Don't Give Me Away" on the London independent label M&G Records in January 1997. The single gains attention in Britain and across Europe, leading RCA Records to issue his debut album, Heaven, later the same year.
Heaven
Heaven is built mainly from original songs co-written by Rowe with Joel Bogen, Christopher Bemand and Rob Watson. The album also includes versions of Arthur Hamilton's "Cry Me a River" and J.J. Cale's "Magnolia". Its single "I Believe" becomes a minor hit in the United States, and the album reaches number 49 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart.

Another artist using the name Jai is a singer, worship leader and minister from St. Louis, Missouri. She is described as a third-generation minister and begins taking part in music ministry at an early age.
