Jaded

Jaded is a name used by several different groups, including a 1990s US alternative band fronted by former child actress Tina Yothers and her brother Cory. That version of the band forms in 1996 and releases one album, Confessions, in 2000. Its sound sits close to the alternative rock of the period, with strong pop sensibilities, funk elements, occasional brass, and melodic female lead vocals.

Other acts using the same name include a short-lived hardcore band that releases a cassette and a 7-inch on Witching Hour/Diffusion in 1997, a three-piece hardcore punk band from Zagreb, Croatia that plays metal-influenced melodic hardcore punk and releases a self-titled EP in 2013, and several other short-lived rock projects from Boston, London, and Norway.

The Boston group is an all-female hard rock band formed in 2004 by Hillary Blaze and Britt Lightning. Its line-up later includes Abbey Dragon on bass, Julie Steel on vocals, Marina Storm as a short-lived vocalist, Laurel Wolff on bass, and Katy Haze as the final singer. It releases a self-titled debut in 2006, the EP Scream in 2007, and Higher in 2010, and tours with bands including Skid Row and Stryper. After a hiatus, it effectively ends, and Hillary Blaze later appears in Judas Priestess while Britt Lightning joins Vixen.

There is also a mid-2000s London music-school project fronted by vocalist AJ, a four-piece rock band that gains attention in a London battle-of-the-bands competition and attracts record-label interest before splitting. Guitarist Ed later becomes part of Jack Viper.

A Norwegian indie rock Jaded forms in the mid-1990s, breaks up in 1999, and issues two vinyl-only releases: the self-released 7-inch 1405 and the Fluffy EP on Garralda Records. Its members later continue working together and also appear in projects including Serena Maneesh, Infidels Forever, Le Corbeau and The Unmist.
