Jace Everett is an American country musician from Evansville, Indiana. Born in 1972, he moves between Indiana and Texas during childhood and later goes to Nashville to attend Belmont University.
Career
Everett signs to Epic Records in 2005. His debut single, “That’s the Kind of Love I’m In,” is released that year and reaches No. 51 on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. It also serves as the lead single from his self-titled debut album, which follows in 2006.
He co-writes Josh Turner’s “Your Man,” which reaches No. 1 on the country chart and earns Everett a Broadcast Music Incorporated award. His song “Bad Things” later gains wide recognition as the theme music for the HBO series True Blood.
Albums
Everett releases his third album, Red Revelations, in 2009. Mr Good Times follows in 2011.
Style and background
He learns his country roots in church after his family settles in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of six. He begins performing country music in church and in school concerts.
