J-Treole

J-Treole are a UK five-piece group active from 2005 to 2011. The lineup comprises Mfon Essien on vocals and sampler, David O’Neill on bass, Stuart Pringle on drums and sampler, Martin Case on guitar and vocals, and Ali Jamieson on keyboards.

The group performs in a jazz-hop and hip-hop-influenced style, with downtempo and jazz elements associated with their sound. They support acts including The Klaxons, Shlomo, Omar, Kele le Roc and Eddie Argos, and they perform at venues and events such as Glastonbury, the Jazz Café, 93 Feet East, Notting Hill Arts Club, Dingwalls and the Barfly.
