Isambarde

Isambarde is a British folk group active from 2002. Its music combines traditional and contemporary folk songs, with an emphasis on extending the English tradition into the 21st century.

Line-up

The group consists of Chris Green on vocals and guitar, Jude Rees on oboe and vocals, and Emily Sanders on vocals and fiddle. It also performs as a five-piece, Isambarde Electric, with Rupert de Jonghe on bass and Duncan Arrow on drums.

Recordings

Isambarde releases albums including Brunel’s Kingdom, Barnstorming and Living History. Telling Tales is produced by Phil Beer and issued on his label, Chudleigh Roots.
