Isaac Tichauer

Isaac Tichauer is a house and electronic music producer from Sydney and London. His productions combine elements of classic and contemporary house, with a focus on deep, progressive arrangements, detailed synth work, melancholy vocals and lead lines drawn from Rhodes and strings. He is classically trained on piano and cites the Detroit house scene as a major influence.

Career

Tichauer is signed to French Express in the United States. His full-length album Devotion introduces his production style and follows a period of growing attention for his work. He also releases the track I Forgive You and the Take Over You EP, which receives regular play on BBC Radio 1 and Triple J Australia. He continues to develop a mixtape series and works as a full-time producer in Berlin.

Personal and artistic background

He is born completely deaf and lives with one working ear, a condition that makes his early output notable in the context of his career. His sound is associated with deep house, house, nu-disco and electronic music.
