Ira Glass is an American public radio personality from Baltimore, Maryland. Born in 1959, he is best known as the host and producer of This American Life, a radio and television programme broadcast by WBEZ, which is associated with NPR. He is also the first cousin once removed of composer Philip Glass.

There is also a post-hardcore band from Chicago using the same name.
