Intercourse

Intercourse is a four-piece band from New Haven, Connecticut, associated with noise rock, hardcore punk, hardcore, post-hardcore and mathcore. The group forms in 2010, created by Nicolai Bursuc as a project intended to illustrate the music and culture of the fictional planet Marshmarrow.

Background

Nicolai Bursuc, who is born in post-communist Romania, is a multi-instrumentalist. The project uses a mix of snare drums, keyboards, bass guitars and various breeds of cats to create its distinctive sound. Intercourse is described as blending noise rock and hardcore punk with an individual approach rather than following a standard contemporary hardcore template.
