Innocent Bystander

Innocent Bystander is a Canadian indie rock quintet from Vancouver. The band wins the 99.3 The Fox Seeds Competition in 2008, a contest associated with launching the careers of Nickelback, Default, Bif Naked and Matthew Good. It develops its live reputation in Vancouver over several years and shares stages with Thornley, State of Shock, The Veer Union, Armchair Cynics, Bif Naked, Yuca and The Turn, among others.

Recordings

The group releases two self-titled EPs, Innocent Bystander I in 2005 and Innocent Bystander II in 2006. In 2008 it issues its debut full-length album, When Things Evolve, recorded at Ear Art Music Studios and produced by Clayton Creed. The album includes the single “Monitors”, which receives national radio play in Canada.

Career development

Following the album’s release, Innocent Bystander tours western Canada and continues to build its profile on the Canadian music scene. The band also works on a second full-length album, with plans for further touring in Canada and the United States.
